Working on commission is a regular part of my practice. The process begins with a conversation — through the website, by phone or via WhatsApp — to understand what the client needs and how the project will take shape.
Conversation
Initial contact to define the project: subject, format, location. The client can choose an image from the photography bank — thousands of photos organised by theme — or I travel to the specific place and spend several days there studying the water, the light and the behaviour of the surroundings.
Photography
I always take the photographs of the setting myself; it is the only way to guarantee an original, previously unseen and unique composition. This photograph sets the structure of the painting; from there, the light, energy and force of the sea are worked in the studio through memory and the direct study of the place. I never paint two identical works.
Painting
The work is carried out entirely in the studio. There is the option to personalise the piece by incorporating specific elements with a direct connection to the client (certain figures, a particular sailboat, etc.).
Delivery
Once the work is approved, the balance is paid and shipping is arranged — anywhere in the world, in a rigid wooden crate closed with screws, reinforced and padded, with handles. A certificate of authenticity is delivered with each work.
Completed
commissions
A selection of works commissioned in recent years (private collections). Each work is a unique and original piece that will never be painted again. If you would like a bespoke piece, you can commission your own project.
